DIME Denver is a for-profit college located in Denver, CO. It is a branch of the Detroit Institute of Music Education (DIME). The college offers certificate and bachelor's degree programs in Commercial Music Performance (Guitar Bass, Drums, Vocals) Commercial Songwriting, and Music Industry Studies. In March 2016, DIME announced a partnership with Metropolitan State University after previously partnering with Falmouth University for accreditation. The financial agreement between DIME and Metropolitan State University has not been publicly disclosed. The partnership with Metropolitan State University allows DIME students to receive BA degrees through Metropolitan State University while paying the higher DIME tuition. The yearly cost of attendance to attend DIME Denver ranges from $21,724 to $29,940.
DIME Denver was announced in November, 2016 in a pop-up location in the basement of the Tivoli Student Union on the Auraria Campus. From November, 2016 through September, 2017, DIME Denver's website stated that the college would move to a permanent location at 5th Ave. and Walnut St. for the Fall 2017 Semester. Beginning in September 2017, DIME Denver's website changed and stated that the permanent space will be located at 8th and Kalamath. Students began attending DIME Denver in Fall, 2017. Enrollment numbers haven't been announced.
